Cloncha Church and High Cross are located near Culdaff village on Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal. The remains of the Cloncha Church (Church of Ireland) dates from 17th century and was built on the site of an earlier monastery, founded by St Buodan around the 6th century. The lintel over the west door of the church has figure carvings and is derived from previous structure (dates from about 12th century). The High Cross which stands on the field in front of the doorway was erected about 10th or 11th century. It's 4m tall, made of single piece of stone and it's decorated with carved panels of geometric patterns and biblical scenes. The pieces of the collapsed second cross are located on the ground near to the church. There is also an grave slab attached to the church's wall with carved foliage, swords, hurley stick and ball. The slab probably orientated from some churchyard of one of the Scottish islands and was brought to Ireland on fishing boat as extra ballast.
