Glenview Folk Museum

Glenview Folk Museum, located near Ballinamore in County Leitrim, is a huge private collection associated with local folklore, agriculture and antique items of everyday life dating from early 19th century to the recent past. The museum is owned and ran by the Kennedy Family since 2000 and very quickly become the popular tourist attraction and its collection is still growing (over 7000 items). Exhibitions contain early industrial and farming equipment, household items and complete main street of a village with replicas of shops, workshops, chemist and post office. There are also various forms of transport from horse drawn to vintage motorised vehicles, including The Travelling Shop. The tour guides have great knowledge about all this antique and vintage items and they present it in very interesting way. Glenview Folk Museum is wheelchair friendly throughout and also offers refreshments and lunches.
